Why must we become beholden to the false dichotomy that it’s compassionate to care about lives in terms of keeping them locked-down and supposedly, “safe,” and that it’s not compassionate to care about the livelihoods of millions of people out of work. Worse, the damage to our economy may be irreversible.

It’s sad that liberals believe that they have a lock on compassion and empathy. That’s bullshit.
