JimBaumerME bio:
Jim Baumer is the creative force behind the one-man indie-rock outfit JimBaumerME. Baumer’s been churning out lo-fi indie rock for a while now, music with a raw, unpolished edge that’s become his signature. Think Dinosaur Jr. filtered through MJ Lenderman, with a side of Mark Linkous and Sparklehorse.
Now based in Lynchburg, Virginia, his sound pulls from a mix of influences—T. Rex, Lou Reed, and Guided By Voices, but with a DIY grit that remains unpolished by design. The music’s vibe is unmistakably indie—distorted guitars, drum machine beats, and vocals wobbling between earnest and sardonic.
If you dig unfiltered indie rock with a side of attitude—something that feels like a late-night rant set to music—Baumer’s music fits the bill.
Baumer has released four full-lengths, Living in Some Strange Days (2021) and Home Sweet Home (2023), Some Singles+ (2024), and Diary of a One-Man-Band. His most recent EP, God Is Not a Robot was completed in February for the global RPM Challenge and is available via Bandcamp.
